A Woodland Wedding at Trafford Hall

Well Wedding season has well and truly got going here at Jo Gendle Film’s and I recently got to return to Trafford Hall where I hadn’t shot for some time.

I love Trafford Hall because it offers couple’s a gorgeous woodland setting in which to tie the knot and it’s really eco friendly making it a truly unique venue and setting. All profits generated by Trafford Hall are reinvested into charitable work carried out at the Hall as well as the environmentally friendly services.

The day was particularly fine because I got to work with two of my close Wedding buddies being Steve Grogan who is a truly amazing photographer with several award winning shots to his name and a cracking personality to go with it and the lovely Liz Thompson of Unity ceremonies who writes the most beautiful words and hosts the most unique ceremonies that will be sure to bring a tear to your eye.  With all three of us on board I knew this Wedding was going to be a corker of a day and an amazing film to look back at for the Appleton’s.

Right on to the day….. It was a lovely sunny Good Friday and Stephanie was getting ready at Trafford Hall in the Cherry Blossom suite amongst a massive table adorned with afternoon tea, champagne and cakes! yum yum!

What a fab way to start the day! this quirky intro to Steph and Paul’s day continued through to the end. I witnessed a gorgeous and touching ceremony performed by Liz Thompson that included a beautifully written biography and a sand pouring ceremony each locking their words and wishes into a lovely jar to keep forever as a reminder.

One unexpected surprise of the day came in the form of  Finn the Owl who dramatically swooped through the forest to drop the Wedding rings off with Jack.

I absolutely loved sharing Stephanie and Paul’s day with them as they have been nothing but warm and kind since I met them, a particular favourite moment of mine came when Steph produced her specially made white Dr Marten boots which she pulled on to climb the tree in the woods! Certainly a first for me seeing a bride climb a tree in her Wedding dress! but this is just Steph! up for anything and bouncing with energy and laughter!
