Alternative Wedding videos
It was a lovely sunny day in Yorkshire and my couple asked me if we could go to a nearby field and do some filming and photographing for their Wedding Day.The field was empty other than a horse roaming around curiously at the unusual activity of a woman in a big white dress running around after a man pretending to be a rabbit!
I’m sure the horse was amused? Anyway from such simple props as a pair of bunny ears some sunglasses and a fence post we achieved some rather quirky pictures.
Experimenting with props will relax you and bring out your personality on film
Have you thought about asking your videographer or photographer to bring a few props to your shoot? Perhaps you should?
When I was presented with the bunny ears to the groom he was a natural and got straight into character! I am all for capturing those lovely moments like the first dance and the big kiss. But I believe everyone should have some quirky moments too. Generally I never ask my couples to pose in uncomfortable positions. I use a relaxed approach and if you want to use a few props then I can provide some for the more quirky weddings.
If you have a shared interest then why not feature it in your film or photographs?
Get creative and express your personality in your wedding video. See this as the chance to make your own music video and this can be as serious or as silly as you like? Here’s a rather quirky wedding from the Belle Epoque in Knutsford. Remember your wedding day is what you decide, so have what you want not what you think people want.
Now go have fun on your Wedding Day! heres how
